Description and features

Viacat 4202 (Dibutyltin dilaurate) is a yellow liquid with the chemical formula C₃₂H₆₄O₄Sn. Manufacturers use it in the production of polyether and polyester-based polyurethanes. Additionally, it acts as a catalyst in adhesives and sealants. It also serves as a heat stabilizer for PVC and supports room temperature vulcanization (RTV) of silicone polymers.

Dibutyltin dilaurate is also known as di-n-butyldilauryltin, dibutylbis(lauroyloxy)stannane, and dibutyltin didodecanoate.
