Iniper 42S (tert-butyl peroxy-3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate) is a clear liquid with the chemical formula C13H26O3. Manufacturers use it as an initiator in producing acrylic polymers, polyethylene, and styrene. Furthermore, it serves as a curing agent in the production of unsaturated polyester resins.
