Description and features
Catonium BeTPC (Benzyltriphenylphosphonium Chloride) appears as a white to off-white powder with the chemical formula C25H22ClP. As a quaternary phosphonium salt, BeTPC primarily serves in organic synthesis as a Wittig reagent. Moreover, it acts as a phase transfer catalyst in the production of fluoroelastomers and printing inks. Furthermore, this material is highly soluble in water and polarizable solvents, enhancing its versatility in various chemical processes.
Benzyltriphenylphosphonium Chloride is also known as BeTPC, BzTPPCl and TPP-ZC.
Compared to amines, imidazoles and quaternary ammonium salts CatOnium BeTPC features considerable better latency and thermal stability. Further it offers a low odor, minimal color formation and controlled reactivity.
It decreases or eliminates side reactions and creates longer, straighter chain epoxy molecules which have a sharp molecular weight distribution
