AminCat A-1 ( bis-2-dimethylaminoethyl-ether ) is one of the most active amine blowing catalysts available. It consists of 70% bis (2-Dimethylaminoethyl) ether diluted with 30% dipropylene glycol for ease and accuracy of metering. AminCat A-1 catalyzes both the blowing and gelling reactions, with a unique focus on the isocyanate reaction. This emphasis has made it the industry standard for all types of polyurethane systems that require efficient catalysis of the blowing reaction.

Application

AminCat A-1 is the established blowing catalyst for all types of flexible foam. Its strong catalytic effect on the blowing reaction can be balanced by the addition of a strong gelling catalyst. When used in flexible slabstock formulations, AminCat A-1 catalyst improves the processing of all grades of foam ranging from low to high density, and from filled to high resiliency grades. The unique performance characteristics of AminCat A-1 catalyst make it an effective choice for high resiliency molded foam. In this application, a catalyst system containing both AminCat A-1 and a strong gelling catalyst will effectively meet most standard processing requirements.

Storage

Store Bis (2-Dimethylaminoethyl) ether in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area and in line with legal requirements.
