Description and features
Enox 101 (2-5-Dimethyl-2-5-di-tert-butylperoxy-hexane) is a yellowish liquid which has C16H34O4 as chemical formula. It is used to cure polymers and elastomers, mainly polyethylene ( LDPE, HDPE), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), sillicone rubber and fluoroelastomers. Further it acts as initiator for the production of controlled rheology polypropylene (CR-PP).
2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane is also known as di-tert-butyl 1,1,4,4-tetramethyltetramethylene diperoxide, 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-bis(tert-butylhydroperoxy)hexane and Di-tert-butyl 1,1,4,4-tetramethyltetramethylene diperoxide.
