Description and features
Catonium BTPC (Butyltriphenylphosphonium Chloride) is a white to greyish powder, its chemical formula is C22H24ClP. BTPC is a quaternary phosphonium salt which is used in organic synthesis as a wittig reagent and as a phase transfer catalyst. This material is highly soluble in water and polarizable solvents.
Butyltriphnylphosphonium Chloride is also known as BTPC, BTPPC, BuTPPC and TPBP-Cl.
Compared to amines, imidazoles and quaternary ammonium salts CatOnium BTPC features considerable better latency and thermal stability. Further it offers a low odor, minimal color formation and controlled reactivity.
