SilQon TMDSO (tetramethyldisiloxane) is a colorless, clear liquid with the chemical formula C4H14OSi2. It is a hydrogen-terminated siloxane dimer, and its hydride groups provide reactive sites. This property allows it to react with various substances that contain vinyl groups or with hydroxyl functional polysiloxanes, especially when combined with heat or metal catalysts. Additionally, tetramethyldisiloxane is also known as 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-dihydrodisiloxane.

Application
Tetramethyldisiloxane is a siloxane that serves as a monomer in producing silicone polymers and silicone resins. Additionally, it acts as a chemical intermediate in the production of other organosilicon substances. Furthermore, it functions as a waterproofing agent for textiles, paper, and leather.
